What Types Of T-Shirt Printing Do You Do?
This is a good question because there are many different ways of printing a t-shirt, and some will fit your requirements better than others. I always answer this question with another more to-the-point question: “What would you like to print onto your t-shirts?”. Armed with this info I can then tell you about the best method of printing to suit your needs.
If you are looking for a small quantity of t-shirts (say, under 20) printed with a text-only design in a single colour, vinyl printing is the best way to go. This works best on stag or hen party t-shirts, where the front of each shirt is usually printed with the same design, but the back differs (for example different nicknames or quotes). Printing with vinyl is the most economical way of printing smaller quantities of t-shirts because the setup costs for each job are relatively low. The vinyl we use is very durable (beware of other t-shirt printing companies in Birmingham using cheaper raw materials for printing that come off in the wash or lose the colour vibrancy). The turnaround time on vinyl printing is usually 1 day or less (depending on the size of your order).
If you’re having the same print front & back, screen printing can also be economical. Screen printing is usually the most economically priced method of t-shirt printing if you need 20 t-shirts or more printed with the same design. There is usually an initial setup cost associated with the creation of the original “screen” to print from, and the cost of each reproduction is significantly cheaper than using vinyl. Screen printing does take a little longer because we do it off-site at a unit in Pershore, away from Birmingham City Centre (where our shop is located). We usually advise a turnaround time of 1 week on this type of printing.
If you are looking to print full colour images, photos or logos, we will usually use A4 sized transfers that are printed on our laser printer in-store. This enables us to do short runs very quickly (usually while you wait) and the finished print quality is very good. For logos onto workwear, we will normally use vinyl – either single colour vinyl or printed with solvent inks, which are extremely durable (i.e the print won’t come off in the wash).

You can even search by popularity, and preview commercial as well as free typefaces. The cooleast feature here is where you can preview the actual text you want to use – a feature lacking in many font sites.
Abstract Fonts – There are so many fonts on this site that it would take a lifetime to go through the whole thing! As well as searching through categories etc you can also participate in the online forum where the community helps others to locate particular typefaces, as well as other font-related ramblings and discussions.
